It's a leak. Lost 1/2 a litre of oil just sitting overnight and driving down the street and back. There was no leak, seeping, or sweating a week before, and then all of a sudden it's pouring. I parked it right after I discovered how bad it was and it hasn't moved in a week. No towing, either. Doesn't even have a hitch.

The crankshaft isn't below the oil level, how could it leak out the main seal just sitting ??
Did someone overfill the engine Oil?? What does the dipstick register??

Like papabear says, be sure of the leak cause. Study by crawling underneath.
Could be sender filter seal or a oil pan leak like a flaw in the cast al pan.
Hard to figure a moderate oil level having a leak whilst parked.

agree with that
not sure what engine you have....some older ventures had a cover up top for to seal where the distributor used to be in the block casting. if the seal leaks...a big oil leak will occur from the top down.
pull the bell housing inspection covers an look up behind the flex plate.
