Default Winter mileage?

Generally in the summer I can get well over 600 kms to a tank of gas and the "kms til empty" gauge tends to say as much. I've noticed over the last few weeks that the "kms til empty" has been absolutely brutal. I put in a full tank and it was giving me numbers like 250kms which would fluctuate from 180-250km on any given minute. Anyone else experience this?

Where do you live? I'm in Ontario Canada and most mornings lately I'm surprised the Van starts much less get good mileage.
I noticed the other day that it took 10 miles for the temp to approach normal so the engine would be running rich.
Don't worry about it. Be grateful that the vehicle is running and things will return to normal when the weather returns to normal.

I'm not so much worried about the mileage than the gauge itself. The INST Economy gauge will read 99L/100km, so I'm thinking it's just the weather, cold starts and short trips that are making it wonky. Otherwise I'm pretty impressed with the vans fuel economy.

I'm getting 14-16l/100km (16.8-14.7mpg) in cold weather (-15C and lower) mixed city/hwy driving in Toronto/GTA area. Mileage is bad, but normal in such conditions. 3.5L V6 Montana extended van.

I am getting close to 12.5 liters per hundred in winter. Don't expect too much. The winter tires are creating a higher rolling resistance and the time it take to warm up adds to create a less than good millage in winter specially this winter that has been much colder than last year on the St Laurence seaway valley where we live.
