I own a 2007 Chevy Uplander LT....the low oil pressure warning just started dinging at me today....I just had my oil changed not even 500-1000k ago....this is just yet another problem I have had with this vehicle has just been one thing after another seriously debating just dumping this vehicle only has 146,000 thousand on it I have had to sink almost as much money into it as what I paid for it anybody have any ideas what it may be?

Check the oil level first. I found many oil change shops have incorrect oil capacity data in their computers for the 3.5L engine. If they put 3.8L the oil level is always low. I put a sticker 4.2L next to the oil cap and have no more issues. And don't drive the car with low oil pressure warning, have it checked asap.

It could be anything. Have the van checked and see what's wrong. Don't automatically blame the van .. it could be the person who changed the oil last time or perhaps the oil filter leaked.
Get all the facts then fix the fault.
Be sure to post here what you found.
Good luck.

Did you take the van to the same people who changed the oil?
Did you take it to the dealer? How did they check the pressure switch to say it's "fine" ?
Does the oil light come on while you are driving or only when idling?
What brand of oil was put into the van? What viscosity? What make of oil filter?
How long have you owned the van?

I believe its a motomaster filter not sure...and I have owned the van for 3 1/2 years now....I have had heat issues with the van up until when the cross over gaskets were replaced this past winter....
