Rear DVD player audio will only play through headphones

Rear DVD player audio will only play through headphones
I have a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander. When we put a DVD in the only way to hear it is with the headphones. The other thing is that we use to be able to hear the radio via the headphones and control it through the DVD player in the ceiling but it says ERROR now. I've exhausted every measure I can on trying to figure this one out so any help would be greatly appreciated.
