Question Venture 98' Rear Power Windows Issue

Hi Guys,

I have had this issue for a while, but I did use a simple solution always - leave them closed, as summer is approaching I would like to fix this.

So problem is very basic both rear power windows doesn't work consistently. They can work fine one day and they will not work on next. Or they can open just fine, but they will not close. Or one will open, second will not in no particular order.

Basically those things are super unreliable. Do you have any suggestions to fix it?

Thank you!

When I take it off the Window - detach it, motor works fine in both directions.

Can it still be bad relay that doesn't pass trough enough electricity? Old motor that doesn't have enough power? Other Ideas?

Thanks!

Another possibility is loose or bad connections at the switch and/or the motor. Check as much of the wiring as possible for worn insulation or weak spots in the wiring.

Have checked both ends quite a few times.

Is there parameters I can check for with multimeter? How many Volts should be in the wire?

Thanks!

Tried to grease all moving parts so that there is minimum of resistance when motor moves, but it didn't help.

Thinking about changing motors to manual latches so that there is some reliable, old-fashion windows opening mechanism...

Went to auto wrecker and they told they are not selling latch alone. I guess those windows will have to stay closed until I figure out how to solve this issue...
