A carefully curated list of parts and flawless execution make this Chevy K10 the perfect truck!

Everyone has their own opinion of what constitutes the “perfect” truck. But we’d say that kicking off our dream truck with a 1972 Chevy K10 is a solid start. It has to be four-wheel drive, of course, with a mild lift and tasteful rolling stock. Keep the body mostly original and add a deep neutral paint job. Throw in a comfy interior, plenty of modern power, and that about takes care of our wish list. And every bit of that description applies to this incredible Chevy K10.

We spotted the beauty over at Grand Rapids Classics and immediately fell in love. And truthfully, how could you not fall head over heels for this thing? Even the ad for the truck kicks off by saying “sometimes words can’t really describe a vehicle.” But that’s what we’re here for, so we’ll do our best. Right after we finish wiping the drool off our keyboard.

Now that that’s done, let’s move on. With over $60k invested, this Chevy K10 has pretty much everything you could want in a classic pickup. The Gen 4 6.0-liter LS provides more than adequate power thanks to a T4 Turbo with a 76mm wheel compressor. Plenty of reliable power comes from the intercooled beast, with goodies ranging from a 3″ downpipe to upgraded injectors and a new fuel system. Power stands at a claimed (and stout) 468 hp and 676 lb-ft of torque.

Inside and out, you won’t find any bones to pick. The Graphite Gray paint is pure perfection, augmented by fresh chrome and LED lighting. 17-inch Pro Comp wheels and 35-inch General rubber makes for a classy combo. Inside, blacked out bucket seats and modern instrumentation and audio make cruising around a pleasant experience.

For our money, it just doesn’t get any better than this Chevy K10. And we’d wager that most of you will agree!
