2008 Silverado sunroof leak
Hi there everyone, I just bought a 2008 Silverado 1500 crew cab. Well last Thursday it sat out in the pouring rain for 10 hours while I was at work. When I got in after work the seatbelt was super wet. Noticed a couple of drops of water by front dome lights. Drove it straight home and put in garage. Both the drivers front/rear seatbelts were wet along with the headliner around the top of the columns above seatbelts. (Headliner was dry everywhere else even by lights where I saw a couple drops.) Carpet also very wet on drivers side.
Today I checked the hoses for the sunroof and front drained fine. Couldn’t check back because of the slope of truck. I did see the paint around sealing area was dirty. I washed the body where it seals and wiped down seal with plain water. I’m most likely going to just replace the seal (part# 20814007) but Is there a conditioner for the seal I should use until I do that? And has anyone here replaced the seal on their sunroof? If so how difficult is it to do? Most likely going to replace the brake/cargo light seal as I’ve read that could leak as well.
BTW I used a dehumidifier in the truck to suck out all moisture. At night I put in a small milk shed heater with it because it was cold out. Everything is dry as a bone after 2 days.

gm recommends using silicone grease for weather seals.
I use either brake caliper grease, or dielectric grease, both of which are silicone based. There's also aerosol silicone lubricant, but it doesn't last as long.
