Front strut done already?
 
Recently replaced front struts. Did it myself. Torqued. Just started hearing some thumping noise here are there few days ago. Checked the driver side strut and noticed the bottom looks like it's bulging out (see photo included below).
Could that be a bad quality strut? I didn't buy the most expensive ones available...can you help me figure out why this is happening? Is there a way to salvage this strut maybe by taking it out and reinstalling it? Should I just replaced it at this point?

That strut looks pretty worn out for something that was just installed. I would replace them with better quality struts.

Yeah, that one looks like it has ALOT of miles on it! When was it changed and how many miles??

Purchased March 17, 2015
I dont know how many miles but I just use it for local driving not a lot of miles I assume
I am going to try to contact the manufacturer and see what they say...

Are you saying that's an 11 year old strut?
