Speaker replacement recommendations??

The speakers in my 2001 Silverado are toast and buzz like mad.

It looks to me like they are 6 1/2 inch. I've read a few reviews of Polk 650s and JBL GTO's.

Anybody care to opine on what you may have installed that sounds great and will bolt right in with no hassle?

i put pioneer tsg 6.5's in my truck. and they have amazing quality for 45$ speakers. now theyre on my kicker zx 650.4, getting about 100w each and they hangle the power no problem.
great definition on highs, but they are no good if you want mids too.

The factory speakers are cheap with paper cones. Mine went out long ago. What ever you buy make sure they are not made with cheap paper cones. Any good brand with heavy magnets and good quality cones will work well.

Depends on your budget. I personally like the sound of CDT components/speakers with the silk tweeters as I'm not to fond of the harshness of titanium/metal tweeters. You can find them pretty cheap online.

The JBL GTOs and the Polk 650s get good reviews. Anybody heard both?

None of the audio shops near me sell them so I am unable to go and audition them.
