1996 Chevy Beretta Z26 bogging down on acceleration
Hi guys, I have a 1996 Chevrolet Beretta z26 3.1L v6. I have been experiencing a problem in the morning and evening after work with the car. When I first start up the car and drive, it seems when I give it gas it hesitates to want to accelerate. If feels like it wants to stall or bog down. When I take my foot off the gas it idles just fine. If I put it in neutral it revs up just fine so I can't imagine it being a fuel pump problem since the neutral position revs up to 4k rpm just fine. I also have a knock sound I think since it's usually louder in the morning but gets quiet after awhile.
I drive a little and the problem seems to go away after about 5 minutes. I've recently replaced plugs and wires. I am also running Seafoam in the oil and gas. People have told me to check fuel pump, fuel filter, Mass Air Flow sensor, Knock Sensor, PCV valve, ERG Valve, maybe have a vacuum line leak.
Was hoping someone has had the same thing happen and what fixed it.
