81 camaro leaf spring replace problem
 

Hi!
I have an '81 Camaro that I am restoring as a daily driver. The leaf springs are in bad shape-one actually broke. The Original leaf springs were 4 leaf and I am replacing them with 5 leaf. The new spring has too much of an arc in it. Therefore the shackles are up against the frame. The plate that the u bolt goes thru doesn’t fit flush against the plate and axle because of the extra leaf. Any ideas how to correct the problem and make the new springs fit?

They are the wrong springs. Where did you get them from?
