Default Camaro won’t start!

I have a 3.1 V6 camaro, 1992 RS.
I have recently replaced the starter motor, then the battery. For some reason now, it will not start. What have i done? Can anybody help? Obviously, being in the UK is not helpful with issues like this so any help will be gratefully recieved...
All the best,
Hannah

. Take a look at the ignition key. There should be a pellet on it. This is known as the VATS pellet. It's a anti-theft part. The ignition cylinders have very fine wires running down the column that break with the turning of the key. If one opens while you go to start, the PCM will look at this as an unauthorized start and shut down the starter and fuel. A dealer has a tool that hooks into column wires to check that this pellet is sending it's resistance value to the PCM. This is not to difficult IF you have the tools to take column apart. But if you have an airbag, better let them do it. There is an outside chance that the key is worn out as well. If you have a spare, try it first.<!---
