exhaust

ok so i know you'll hate me for this but i got a set of pipes and cats from a friend that has a v6 03 mustang and since the pipes are good i wanted to install them on my car, would there be any issues asside from it not being on the exact same position? also would it be ok to use the same cats from the 6? i got a 350 engine with manifolds

You need way more exhaust volume than that little V6 had. It'll kill your mileage and your power.
The Ford cats are not compatible with the Chevy.

well i got an original lm1 which is very restrictive, i'm running a y pipeand it sux, but i guess GM and ford cats can't be mixed right? thats basically it, the pipes are pretty big so thats why i thought about taking advantage of it, they are 3 in so yeah

The Motorcraft and the AcDelco cats are not interchangable. It the pipes are 3", go for it.
Just be careful bending to fit. Pipes don't like to be hydraulically bent after they have been mandrel bent.

What's the laws in CA pertaining to Antique Vehicles??? In Illiinois...(where Govenors sell EVERYTHING ), if the vehicle qualifies for Antique plates, they don't have to pass emissions....that's why the Killer Tomato runs 2 3/4" pipes back to a pair of Flowmasters....then dump out of 3" tail pipes. Sniff This!! LOL!!! ;>)

I'm running 2.5" true duals with Flowmasters and no cats.
I can now let it idle down and see which side its missing on ;) lol
