OBD1 Code

I look all over, no information on my light. I tested the light. Did the normal code 12 three times, then after the pause, the light blinks 5 times. The car doesn't stay running, and I don't know what code gives five blinks.

It is supposed to give a 2 digit code. I would try disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds with the engine off, and then check for codes again.

12 is no distributor pulse, you should get with key on,m not running, might be 17?

The light gave a sequence of 5 flashes twice. Does that mean 55? I saw that out of curiosity. Possible computer failure?

I would think a long flash is 10, and short flashes are one , thus a long flash with 2 short flashes = 12 (ex.)

Not sure about GM, but with Chrysler ODB1, 55 meant end of codes.
