05 Cav Burning Oil (pics)

I've got a 2005 Cavalier with 126k miles. I'm currently at the beginning of a Auto-RX treatment to help with the gunk buildup

I'm seeing quite a lot of oil in my air intake, coming from the breather tube connected to the valve cover. I removed the valve cover to find the above picture. I've since cleaned the entire cover:

and installed new gaskets, but oil is still coming out of the breather. I believe it has an oil separator built into the valve cover, but I can't get at it from either side of the cover. Is there a way to clean it out or replace whatever is inside of it? Here's a before-after of the valves

The car runs like a champ, no misfires, weird noises, or anything. I put 5 quarts in it last weekend, drove ~500 miles, and I drained it this weekend and only pulled out 3.5 quarts.. Obviously I'm in need of assistance, and any offered would be greatly appreciated!

hows the RX treatment going?

how did you clean out the heads? toothbrush? vac? how did you get the small stuff, that tried to fall down out?

thanks

Someone didn't change the oil like they should of. I'm sure the bottom half of the motor doesn't look good. Once the engine starts burning oil the rings are shot, only fix is to replace them.

I posted a bunch of pictures a few days ago but I don't think the thread was approved or something. TL;DR oil control rings fixed the problem.

As what was posted ALOT earlier, worn piston rings. I'd say alot of blowby, did you change the pcv valve?

2.2 ecotec doesn't have a pcv valve does it? Forgot to mention I have about 6k on it since I replaced the rings and no oil burned :)

thanks for waking up that 3year old post to correct that. Now it can RIP. fyi, Alot is a word... a palace/town in the Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh, India.

His diagnosis is correct also. So much blowby the pcv system can't handle it.
