97 cavalier 2.2 overheating
 

Hello first time user I have a 97 cavalier 2.2 has new water pump radiator thermostat and head gasket all replaced in the last 20,000 miles car has 108,000 miles got in the car this morning and on my way to work car over heated and water was bubbling out the reservoir let car cool down and drove home checked the thermostat witch it was good and the water pump was moving water the car is smoking 'white'
I be leave the car has blowed the head gasket again my question is what would cause this to happen again and again

My 02 did all that because of "LOW FLOW" through the heater core. It still put out good heat. A simple by pass of the heater core proved the problem. BACK flushing solved the problem. Racing the engine also cooled it down as it increased flow to the t stat.

A buddy of mine said that it maybe stopped up as well thinks you for the reply

Normally if it still overheat after head gasket replaced you have a cracked engine block
they should've checked that before they replaced the head in the block because is very frustrating to replace a head gasket and find later find out that the problem is in the block. it all depends on how bad it overheated and how many times it happened. also you HAVE to make sure your cooling fan is working properly and there is no restrictions on the ac condenser which is in front of the radiator and it would reduce the air flow.
