98 Cavalier - Griding noise at the engine
 

Hi.

I have a problem with my 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier.

When I push the gas pedal a weird noise comes from the engine, like a grinding noise.

What could it be?[:@]

its realy hard to tell somthinhg like that without hearing it for yourself but if i realy had to guess i would say mabye your starter is catching??? or mabye theres somthing hitting a moving part of the engine and grinding on it, or you may want to check the oil level in the motor to see if its metle grinding in there somwhere?? some things to look at anyway. hope this helps

check the belt tensioner too
mine blew apart and made a noise when reved
