torque converter stuck on 2002 cavalier
 

Hello
my 2002 cavalier has the following problem, check light and trac off light illuminated, scanned code p0742, erratic shifting and stumbling at stop signs/ stop lights. I have researched this some and it sounds like the torque converter is sticking. My question is, is there anything aside from going into the tranny that would help this, and also, would it do further damage to drive this, it is going to be about a month before i can get it in the shop.
