When turning corners & rough idle

Hi, new to the cavalier forums, I just bought a 2002 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 OHV which im really happy about runs very good, however I have a few questions.

Turning corners at higher speeds- car seems to not accelerate and it feels like when I straighten out the car the transmission kicks in again which is weird, is the transmission fluid low or something?

Secondly - when coming to a stop I have a small vibration and at stops i can feel it idle rough just a tiny tiny bit.

And need to know if this car is equipped with a kickdown cable, I see the throttle cable however I think the kickdown is missing?

Im going to do a tune up and probably a sea form treatment, is there any advise other then a tune up to check into.

Ive already installed a failsafe 160c thermostat and it stays a lot cooler.

you are in the cavalier forum and most people here are truck guys (im 1 of them) 1 day isnt long lol, anyway, u may be low on trans fluid, but the best way to know is to check it! the manual will tell you where the dipstick is and what peramerters to check it (check it while running or turned off) and the rought idle is more than likely a bad state of tune and a tune-up should take care of it
