66 327 L30 El Camino Rebuild
I have recently decided to take on the project of rebuilding my grandfather’s El Camino. I have done some mechanical work before but nothing to this extent. I was talking to a friend of mine and said to figure out what I want to do and then stick to that plan.
What I want:
* A daily driver that produces good power but gets decent MPG (around 16) and sounds great. So the question is what parts would work well together to reach my goals.
What has been done:
* I have done some research and for that year, I think the engine is L30 but I won’t know until I pull the engine.
Also I live in Glen Burnie MD. Does anyone know of a good mechanics shop and metal fab shop that will handle the boring, honing inspection etc.?
Thanks in advance.
