2006 cobalt ac blower will not come on
|
Sounds like a bad relay. according to the diagram I am looking at, the relay is an internal
part of the BCM. A couple things to try, first of all, with the motor plugged in, and the key on, use a jumper lead to ground, and touch it to the orange wire. Does the motor come on? if yes, the problem is on the ground side, if no, then the problem is on the battery side of the circuit. http://gsi.xw.gm.com/image_en_us/gif...82/1582703.gif |
i have already tested all the relays and fuses and jumped power and ground and have determined the problem to be on the pos side just need to locate where. i will get into it this weekend

how did you test the relay if its an integral part of the BCM?

in advance for your help |
Try running 12 volts to the motor directly from the battery to see if the motor runs. This will tell you if the motor is good.

gm parts direct .com should help you dig it out

"Flaky" connection at motor.
I got in my 06 Cobalt this morning and Blower would not turn on. I checked all fuses and relays but nothing seemed bad. When I touched the two wires going into the blower under the passenger side dash, it came on. When I pushed on the wires, however, it seems the fan RPMs went down. When I pulled on them a little bit it, seemed to blow at normal speed. Will investigate further this weekend.
