2006 Cobalt LS ECM tune !!!HELP!!!

Alright let me start by saying i'm a first time poster, and i have little knowledge about PCM tuning.

Back in September of 2014 I purchased a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt LS. It has a 2.2 EcoTec 4cyl and a 5 speed manual transmission. Ive done a couple cosmetic modifications such as wheels, headlight housings, taillight housings, etc..

Now i'm curious about tuning. I have the knowledge to do motor work but sadly, i lack that same knowledge with all the computer bullsh*t :@. I cannot find anyone who will tune my cobalt. a buddy of mine said "The PCM used on the 2.2l L61 is a bast*rd child that doesn't share architecture with other GM pcms, so no one supports it" He also mentioned something about canned tunes, but then proceeded to tell me that they can be bad.

True or not im still trying to find someone that can tune for me! any suggestions will be appreciated! I live in upstate NY and any local shops that anyone knows of would be very helpful.

Thank you for your time and your help!:)

Give it up. It's an LS? You'll get what, 5 HP ??

I don't understand people sometimes.
