Better Diagnostics Than Bosch Automotive Diagnostics - ADS625
 

I had Milex/Mr Transmission in Greenwood, IN do a pre-purchase inspection on a 2020 Colorado. Their Vehicle Health Report found several things wrong but said the only Urgent need is to replace a brake pad & brake caliper. They claim they did not inspect the truck for damage (such as if it had been in a crash or not). Plus, several of the scanned "Objects" resulted in a "Status" of "Not Scanned". Others show "Scanned With Errors" with "Result" showing various alpha/numeric codes with brief descriptions associated with each code. For ex: Under Object the Power Steering Control Module shows the Staus as Scanned With Errors & Result of U0077-00 - Control Module Communication Chassis Expansion CAN Bus Off. The Milex/Mr Transmission guy didn't have much of an explanation as to why he got those readings nor did he say what caused it. I've been told that not all diagnostic equipment is of equal performance. Any opinions on this? Is their a specific brand of equipment that would do a better job @ diagnostics? Anyone from the Indianapolis/Greenwood, IN area anyone would recommend? I'm supposed to close on this truck tomorrow but with so many questions it's leaving me a bit concerned.

Not scanned may mean the vehicle may not have that option. Scanned with a code means there is an active fault present that needs diagnosis.
The hexadecimal format is raw data that this brand of scan tool can't convert to "readable" data.
