Default RE: MECHANICAL OR ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP

The first thing to check is if You have a mechanical fuel pump boss on the engine and if it's drilled for mechanical pump use including the pump rod between the camshaft and fuel pump. Then You'll need to know if the camshaft has a fuel pump essentric cast into it. With that, It'd be a lot easier to put an electric pump on it ( something like a HOLLEY red pump ) and just be done with it.
