1950 Chevy Fleetline problems

I have a 1950 chevy fleetline with a 216 it had fire but wouldn't turn over we replaced the brushing in the starter now it turns over but we have no fire would anyone happen to know what is the problem

no start

check to see how gas or carbon fouled the plugs are ,if they are wet get new plugs ,if wet with gas pull the plugs and turn it over to clean it out .reinstall new plugs .make shure it has gas up to the carb ,make shure there is fire at the spark plugs . use some help pull a plug leave the wire on it and ground the plug hex body on good clean metal ,have some one turn the engine over and look for spark on the plug gap ,use a pair of insulated pliers to avoid getting shocked .

well we aren't even getting fire to the points in the distributor and the plugs are brand new i think it might be the coil or the wiring. it only has 34000 original miles so it has been setting for a long time so neither would surprise me what out of those two things do you think could of gave out under pressure in only a couple days.

check for fire out of the coil ,and some of the older car's had either a ballist resister or resister wire in the system ! wire could break or resister fail .
