Exclamation 2005 Equinox overheating at stand still

Hello all,

I am having a overheating problem that started about 2 months ago. My car is overheating when I am at a stop for more than 3 minutes like at a drive-thru, bank window, etc.. I had a coolant heater while I was in Alaska that went bad so I had to replace the radiator to pump hose and then flushed the system with dexcool. I am not certain that it is the thermostat but I am in need of help for some ideas. I have traveled from Alaska to Arizona and had no problems at all till recently during this winter season.

Welcome to the forum. Is it when not moving or simply idling? Have you tried revving the engine? With A/C on or off? Do the cooling fans run during these episodes?
