2013 Equinox Transmission Oil checking Owner's Manual Provides NO HELP!
This is really odd. This 2WD vehicle offers no means to dip stick the transmission oil. The owner manual says checking oil level not necessary??? WHAT? If it looses oil its leaking RIGHT! But how much has been lost and when? That's the critical issue.
This sounds like a marketing/sales person's comment, but it's there in B&W!
So, while this is totally lamo, how any members here addressing this? There are no means to do any preventative monitoring this lubrication and therefore how can the owner be held accontable for low oil damage? Opening the cap on the transfer case seems to indicate no oil present! Yet the transmission works perfectly. Can anyone help with this stupid issue?
Thanks!!
