Google it. If you can't find a good answer online, take it somewhere and have it done by a professional. The Equinox is like most other FWD vehicles with independent rear suspension - you must align the rear end before you align the front.

home adjustments are possible but you will need a tape measure to measure total toe, a camber level to measure camber. ruler picture Picture - More Detailed Picture about Wheel alignment magnetic spirit level Ruler camber adjustment aids magnet positioning tool Picture in Rust Remover | Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group
It will be time consuming without a drive on hoist.
perform a suspension check; fix any worn parts. set the tire pressures.
roll the vehicle so the suspension is not bound up...it must be sitting at normal ride height
adjust in this order
rear camber with a camber level
rear total toe. measure the total toe. mark a fix point on the front and rear of the tires. the tires should be toed in 1/16"
rear thrust angle you can't measure without an alignment machine so if the thrust angle is not straight...you will have to play with the front toe to get a centered steering wheel
adjust the front
-caster is fixed and not adjustable
-front camber is fixed and requires grinding the strut mount to change
-adjust front total toe the same way you did the back toe 1/16' toe in
-test drive the vehicle...in the steering is offcenter left....you must adjust both front tie rods equally to move the tire direction left...adjust 1/2 turn at a time. if the steering is off center right; adjust both front tie rods to move the tire direction right
if you get it wrong...you ruin $500 worth of tires for a $100 worth of aligment.
