I have a Chevy Equinox 05 AWD. How different is to drain and flush, and add transmission fluid to my car?

The process is the same for your Equinox. It would be a good idea to change your transfer case fluid too while you're at it.

I got a 2007 eqinox .What about the bolt under the battery holder.. Is it safe to add transmission fluid in there or not..

I dont either. Amazon sells a gallon of GM ATF VI for 35 bucks. I'll just change the fluid more often since I cant change the filter anymore.
