how to fix noisy lifters or valves

I purchased an 06 equinox with engine noise and some signs of oil in coolant, I have repaired this before on other GM engines doing intake kit and engine flush. This time I replaced all lifters and intake gasket kit re -torqued rocker arms. While this did reduce the noise it did not cure it. At idle it is very loud at about 2000 rpm it seems quiet but can still hear noise but is more of a fast ticking noise at higher RPM. My question is what is most likely the problem at this point and what would be best suggestion for repair?

BTW there are no engine codes and other than noise engine runs smooth

Ok, general rule of thumb, with the piston at tdc, both valves closed, run the rocker arm down, and back it off to .010".

to clarify do you mean leave .010 between rocker and valve stem and is this for the 3400 with roller rockers or just in general for any engine.

The rocker arm be it roller or push rod, general rule of thumb .010" feeler gauge between it, and the valve stem.
