I ruined the rims on my 2013 Chevy Equinox, would putting rims from a 2011 model work?
Hello all, new to this forum! I need some help with conflicting sources.
Last night I was driving and was ran off the road by a drunk driver, causing me to run into a curb and completely ruin my 2 passenger side wheels and tires. I've been looking around for less costly replacements and I stumbled across someone on craigslist selling their 2011 wheels at a good price.
I did some research and found this: http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse...._Reference.cfm
Apparently from 2011 to 2012, the bolt pattern sizes changed. Does this mean I need to search for wheels 2012 and up? I contacted a website called "CarID" about a wheel they were selling for the Equinox that apparently is compatible from 2010-2012. They even assured me that it would fit my 2013 model. How would this be possible if the bolt pattern sizes changed? Here is the wheel for sale: http://www.carid.com/2010-chevy-equi...-10996955.html
I apologize for the lengthy question as I am complete novice on the subject. I will send $5 through paypal to anyone who can help me with a concrete solution. Also, I am living in Temecula California if that helps the search. Thank you so much.

Did the drunkard get stopped by the police and then an accident report filled out? If so, I would go after his insurance. If you damaged the wheels you may also have damaged the tires...which you won't find out about until you mount them on new wheels.

Yes, the 2011 wheels will work fine. That chart is not accurate. The change occurred with the body style change between 2009 and 2010. The 2005-2009 Equinox has a 5 x 115mm pattern while the 2010-2015 Equinox has a larger 5 x 120mm pattern.
