What happens is if you turn on the cruise control (or sometimes just out of no where) the car flashes a light saying service stabilitrac. Then sometimes but not all the time the brakes lock up. If I pull over I can wait or just got to the Brake booster and release the vacuum and it will release. Any ideas will help.

The reason Chevy brakes lock up are that the calipers are rusty.
Disconnecting the ABS plug from the master cylinder will disable the ABS to the wheels and eliminate one possible reason.
After a while, you'll see it's always rusted calipers and pins first.
