2011 Equinox locks driver out
 

It was a frosty morning today so I started my 2011 Equinox, turned on the defrosters and got out of vehicle to let it warm up. After 5 minutes or so I came out to go to work and the vehicke was locked. WTF? with no one in it!!!

Im glad I had the second set of tkeys in the house so I could unlock it.

How does one warm up the vehicle without it locking you out?

Just wondering,,,does your Nox have the factory remote? I thought most of the 2011's came with it as standard equipment. Simply use the remote to lock the vehilcle, hit the lock button on the remote, then hit the start button. Its all spelled out in the manual for remote starting. Once its running, all you do is hit the unlock button on the key fob to unlock. Hope that helps. Keep the extra set handy just in case.
