Code P1101
 

We got a P1101 engine check light code from out 2021 Equinox LT. We checked and a major cause was MAF sensor. Light spontaneous went out. I still replaced the sensor and air filter and the code came back a couple of days later. What other possible causes are there?

Possible causes could be, but not limited to; Aftermarket sensor, Power, Ground, 5V reference or signal circuit / wiring / connector. Good luck!

There is an OEM MAF sensor in (brand new). Googling code indicates lean gas mixture, MAF sensor, or throttle body. One mecanic mentioned PCV and another said that he had several (more than 2) in his shop with the same problem. And it is prevelant this time of year. I'm beginning to think that this is a known problem. Is there any class actions, recalls or somesuch on this issue? Again 2021 Equinox
