16x10 -25mm offset wheels... What tire size?

I have a 2001 Express 1500.
What size tires should I get with these wheels?
There are not many options for 16" wheels.
The closest thing i found was a 255/65r16

These vans are so sluggish. I kind of want to go for a smaller diameter tire than stock for better acceleration.
If I do go smaller, how much smaller is acceptable?
Stock overall diameter is 29"
Can I go down to 27" without looking too weird?
This thing drives at 35-40mph average so mpg wont make too much of a difference. It does a lot of stop and go traffic with some hills here and there.

I currently have 20x9 wheels with a 0mm offset on 275/45r20 without any issues. Theyre just really heavy and the overall diameter is a little taller than i want them to be.

Is 225 75 16 the stock size? It was on mine an I ran 245 75 16 which was 3% bigger than stock. I did not find my 2002 sluggish? What do you have for power? What is your rear end gear? I had 3.73, if you have the 3.42 then that makes a diff.
You could go to a 70 series tire, but i would not go too wide. There is not a lot of front clearance for the tires in the wheel well.

Lots of tire size calculators out there....... Tire Size Calculator - Tire & Wheel Plus Sizing

stock size is 235/75r15 on a 15x7 wheel
its a 2001 LT model so it has the 5.7 v8
not sure on the rear end on this thing

whats the smallest diameter tire you would run if stock diameter tire is about 29"

You could go down to a 70 series tire, but make sure of the load range. Don't go over 245 in width either.....

I have never gone smaller. But I did go 3% bigger on my last van and saw little difference in performance, and only a slight hwy mileage increase.
