Default 2000 express second battery mounting options?

I have a 2000 express 3500 5.7L high top wheel chair van that I'm converting into a work van.

I'd like to add a second battery. So far the best option looks like the battery tray for a diesel express that mounts on the outside of the frame under the driver seat. Gm part number 15017904 for the tray, 14005061 for the battery hold down, and 11509853 for the hold down bolt. Altogether it's about $50 shipped.

I already have 2ga wire with a 100 amp breaker that runs down the driver side all the way to the back of the van. I'd be using that to connect the second battery.

Any other options I should consider?

So far I've gutted the interior, tinted all the windows, removed the lift and three rows of seats, installed hella h4 headlights, 2500hd wheels, and I'm in the process of adding a class V hitch and wiring.

Nice work van. Cover the windows/sides plywood. You're windows will truly look black on the outside and no one will see your tools, etc.

Thank you. I like being able to see out some of the windows while I'm driving, so plywood isn't an option. Being a wheel chair van should throw off potential thieves as well.

I ordered the factory battery tray for $51 shipped, and found an interstate mega tron 78 battery for $60 on craigslist.
