Default 2005 Express 3500 Parking Brake Mechanism

My parking brake machanism has failed, pedal goes to the floor with no resistance and does not fully return on it's own. It happened all at once without warning. Anyone taken one of these apart or replaced one? The cable is NOT broken.

Also looking for a source for the FSM, either hardcopy or CD

There is more than 1 cable. The top cable goes from the pedal through the firewall to under the truck. The second cable goes from the first to the rear adjuster. The last cables are the ones that go to each wheel.
My first cable broke right at the pedal once.....did exactly what yours is doing.
