3500 Cutaway Vs 4500

Hello, I'm a Hot Rodder building a 1954 GMC COE. I have decided on using an Express Savana Chassis. I intend to use this for a Tow Vehicle. So what exactly is the Physical difference's between the 3500 and the 4500. Obviously there is a Spring Difference, but what else ? Do they share the same Frame, what about Brakes ? Besides Motor Mounts does a Duramax Chassis have anything different from a Gas ? I know some of the Airport Shuttle Buses have Air Ride suspension. Anybody familiar with it? I assume the Ambulance package is mostly Electrical. Thanx in advance....

I came across information on all that. Some of it is here on this page, but I don't remember where.. there was a document that listed it all.

Check through the links on the bottom of the page: https://dan.berladyn.online/gm/

Heavier the better, suspension can be tricked out after you get a body on. Wheelbase and track width is more important if you can avoid cutting frame down that should decide for you
