Another well sold brand inAmazon is Atoto. Anyone with any experiencie with those? The thing is that I need BT, GPS and rear monitor. Most well known brands will charge an eye to have all of those

I had the Navinio, and it failed in less than a year. I had it hooked up to have power when the stereo was on, so I could activate it without being in reverse (to keep an eye on my trailer going down the road). I don't think it liked being on that much. The replacement is switched manually, but also works automatically when in reverse.

question for anyone that has advice that may help me solve my issue.

I hooked up my backup cam tonight and I have it hooked up so that I can manually switch it on or it turns on when I go into reverse.. however, when I put my truck in reverse the stereo system (if at volume 1 or higher) spikes and seems to go up to at least 100% volume and stays there until I change gears. The only way it does not blast out my ears is if I do not have the volume on at all or the music is paused or not playing.. what would cause that? And how would I correct that? I drive an ‘89 Chevy c1500.. the wiring in it is questionable as I can see that previous owners have ripped out a bunch of wires and tried to rig some switches for who know what reason (cause they don’t appear to be hooked up to anything that I can tell of). I had followed the directions in a YouTube video I found but this happens so long as I’m tapped into the reverse light line under the dash. But if I’m not tapped into that reverse line wire then i either have a blank blue screen and can’t do anything about it or I have the camera on at all times.

in wiring it up I had to figure out (and reinstall) nearly every wire under the dash.. at the back end I have the ground wire screwed into the chassis and the rca and the convenience wire connected directly to the camera. Up front behind the stereo and under the dash I have the acc/convenience wire/acc-line(stereos)/illumination line connected, then I have the reverse line from the stereo going to my reverse light switch wire under the dash ..

what did I do wrong? If you have an answer it may help me to attempt to correct the issue.
