gm had a recall on the 99 to 06 trucks for this...connector melted....resistor and connector were replaced.

I had to replace the connector twice on my '00 Astro. It probably would have been more if I didn't reduce the time I used it on high speed.

Where have you found a recall for the connector and BMRA? I have looked on several sites and not seen it for my van.
I did read about someone doing a repair and replaced the wide connector purely because they were aware that that was how a dealer did the repair.
Thank you

GREAT pics!

Thank you for posting these pictures! Saved me from having to upload and post my 03 Express 2500 pictures too. I was unable to locate the original PN 12135104 **ANYWHERE** and opted for the newer style AC Delco version that I had replaced many of in my previous 06 Express 3500 (380k+ miles). Not sure exactly why Chevy wen't with a different style resistor pack for 2003, unless maybe they were trying to see if another design would last longer??? I have a parasitic draw and also have lost high speed on the fan. I had to replace the blower motor once on my 06 as it burned the resistor pack wires, but my 03 isn't burnt so I'm going to modify the evap box and just replace the resistor pack.

High speed is a relay not resistor.

Thank you for your pictures! I thought I was going crazy not finding the original replacement part. I used your pictures to generate a template for my replacement (Duralast DR780). I started with the hacksaw but ended up using a single edge razor blade holding it at 45 degrees and rocking it back and forth with pressure. Thanks again!
