Brake Light shorting Dome Light

Brake Light shorting Dome Light
I have a 2005 Express Van and it seems like it has a short. I don't know where to start running it down and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
The van died at a stop sign. No signs of it coming, just pushed on the gas and realized it had died. Started up and afterwards the dome light came on(very dim) with the brake pedel pushed. When the brake pedel is pushed the turn signal trigers the dome light and flashes fast (only when the brake is pushed).
Anyone can point me where to start?
