what do you exactly mean?

They space the wheels to the outside, providing more clearance so the tires don't rub in the wheel well, or rub the suspension.

Oh, now i understand.
But, do you think with these Spacers the Rim (with Tire) doesnt rub at the Outside of the Fender if steering left/right?
the Rims are 9x22, that is huge... so i think, with spacers they move to much to the outside of the axle, you know what i mean? And: if i add spacers, the whole Wheel doesnt fit into the Fender at all, or? I think, the Tire stands out. That would be a Problem here in Germany.... :(

what do you Guys think?

Well, now that you ask for opinions, here goes.

Why? I'm all for custom wheels, but in getting them, it seems to me that going extreme causes more issues. First, there are the clearance issues, which you are already aware of, causing you to ask good questions. Then, because we're talking about a truck, you should be aware of weight capacities that are higher than cars. If you had a 1500, you could probably get away with car tires. But a 2500 or 3500 need truck tires. And they're not cheap in standard sizes. I don't even know what 22" truck tires would cost. So, you jump through some hoops to get the 22s to fit (and possibly fail, in that they may still rub somewhere), pay who knows how much for the tires, and yes they look good. And if they do rub somewhere, they won't last as long as tires that don't.

To paraphrase an old racing saying, "How many dollars do you want to look good".

will it fit? yes you can make it fit
if you get a 29" tall tire it will fit.
you will probably have rubbing issues on the inner fender (depending on tire width)...so you would need somewhere around a 1.5" spacer...youd have to measure

mine dont stick outside of the fender. it is almost flushed with the fender

Hi, the 2008 Chevy 2500 Express van has 8 lugs, the ones in the link are 6 lugs, in fact if you look at the "Compatible Vehicles" area of the website, none have 8 lugs.

StanVan February 28th, 2018 11:21 PM

Wow, Tom. I just assumed it came in 8 lugs.

Ponyriemen February 28th, 2018 11:58 PM

Hi at all...

thanks for your Replies...
Sorry for my confuseness, i am looking for a 6-Lug-Van, then it is an 1500 i guess...
In Germany the Streets are not that wide, the Parking Places are not big, it hast to be a 1500. Sorry for the Mistake.

@SnIpeR : 29 inch is a little big, 22 is enough for mine. ;) So if it will fit, maybe with Spacers, all is fine. The Dealer told me, that 22 inch Rims with down to 10 Offset will fit on the Van as well. I see if it rubs an when, i will get Spacers. The Dealer says, it will not rub, so i will see if he is right or not.

@ StanVan : Tires in that Size (22") are "cheap" in germany, you can get them at 90 Dollars each up, depends on the Quality. But you are right, if they rub, i need new Tires every Month. So i get them not to rub. Maybe the dont at all, maybe with Spacers.

Thanks for your Opinions...

Hi, The 2008 Chevy Express 1500 Van, is also 8 lugs. I have a 2008 1500 Express, it has 8 lugs, pretty sure all Express vans 2008 and newer have 8 lugs.

Ponyriemen March 1st, 2018 6:51 AM

Hi...
oh, that was not clear to me.
Ok, if so, then i will search for a VAN till 2008, not later...
can you tell a specific Month, at where the Vans got 8-lug?

are you really sure?
Here in germany some are available and came from 2010, all 1500, they have all 6-lug...

Pony, pretty sure GM made some changes between 07 and 08, but I'm not 100% sure when the 1500 went to 8 lug. You are going to have to investigate that, if that is the basis of which van you purchase. Maybe owners of 05, 06, 07 1500 Express vans can chime in.
