Does anyone have any experience with these or is it impractical?

From what I see on the pkg, the" blades flex at high rpms," that tells me they flatten out and don't give the same airflow as a stock fan would. I had one of these types way back in '75 and didn't notice an iota of extra horsepower or less fuel consumption! But hey, its pretty, and comes in ASSorted colors tho'!

Maybe it is more quieter in high revs.

Didn't they build these into cars for a few years in the factory? It seems ro me that your still going to "BURN" energy bending the metal flat at high rpms. I have no idea if these ever did anything beneficial or not. I guess it's somewhat like a clutch fan, no?

I wanted to Edit this since the day I wrote it. I'm pretty sure I was confusing clutch fans with the flew fan when I suggested cars were built with them. Please ignore my post.
