Dash location is not great for any bass. You could swap the factory speakers for some 3 1/2 mids, and put 6.5 in the lower part of the door. Not factory, but worth the effort. When I did my stereo in my 95, I put 6.5 components in the doors, with the tweeter up by the power window switch. I just disconnected the dash ones.
