Default Loosing break fluid

I have break fluid leaking from my right rear break hub. I dodn't know a lot about rear breaks. Is it the cylinder?

Could be anything on a 2000. I had a line rust through on my 2000 Astro earlier this year. You should be able to see where it's leaking.

Leaking wheel cylinder. You sure its brake fluid? not rear diff fluid. It could be an axle seal. Pull off wheel and drum to see for sure. Wheel cylinder is cheap. Rear axle seal also cheap but way harder to replace.

More than likely it is the cylinder. Is the fluid level going down in the master cylinder?

Guys dont get carried away ..... his first statement reads

QUOTE :::::::: (I have break fluid leaking from my right rear break hub.)
sounds to me he has already located the area... if there is NO fluid on the out side
of the hub... then more than likely its on the inside which does mean Wheel Cylinder

I am just reading what was wrote... lol

Not getting carried away. People use the wrong wording all the time here. Hub? does he have drums or discs? He asks about the cylinder, but if he has a hub, then its a caliper.
Not adding any more until he replies with more info. His profile only says express 2500 no year.

Yes it's a 2000 and it had a trans cable clip out problem and would not go into park. I was leaving it in N and using the E break. It was leaving a break fluid puddle on the ground. I fixed the trans cable and not using the E break anymore and it seemed to stop leaking or at least slow down to almost nothing??? Drum breaks 13inch and it has a small 12$ cylinder or caliper???? Not sure what it is. Small and round. The leak was from the bottom of the back of the tire there is a round hub that all the break stuff is in.. I'm sorry I'm suck at auto repair and don't know all the lingo. I have never gone into drum breaks before. Thanks.
