Loss of brakes and soft Pedal

Have a 2001 2500 Savana van with a 5.0 liter engine with about 100K mile. Had a panic stop with the accompanying anti lock shutter and then the pedal went soft and bottomed almost out. There was an associated loss of braking. I pulled over to check to see if there was any brake fluid leaking out. There wasn't any leaking. Replaced a leaking rear wheel cylinder last year, but the brakes have been fine since.
All the way home I had to pump the brakes to keep the pedal up.
Pads and shoes are fine.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ron

Old stuff, as I am not sure about a 2001, but this sounds like the proportioning valve in the master cylinder

Turns out there was a spray leak in one of the steel brake lines. Will replace those and see if the issue is resolved or I need to look into the proportioning valve.
Thanks

A Good inspection ... we need to resort back to the basics...

glad you found what was more than likely your problem

When I checked initially there was no dripping. It was only when I had someone step on the brake did I see the spray.
Now the issue is the type of flare on the line. Seems to be a single, but would like confirmation.
