Lowering an Express 3500??
has anyone seen, heard, or know if a 3500 has been lowered successfully? I've seen 1500's but the 1 ton suspension is a different animal I'm guessing. Any clues?

I believe should you lower the van your payload will likely be reduced and you will have the payload capacity of 1500 or 2500.
Seems it would be easier to get a 1/2 ton, I have only seen people lift 1 tons.
Good luck

I have heard through the years that the weakest component in your suspension dictates the suspensions capacity. I could be wrong but lowing kits or components generally are not concerned about payload. I do know medium duty trucks ie shuttle buses are available in lowered versions but lite trucks/vans I have not seen factory lowered chassis.
There very well maybe a company that produces a lowering kit with stout components but I have heard of none also I believe you want some suspension height if you are ever going to carry something heavy or pull a trailer with a high tongue weight.
Hopefully someone who has lowered a van will chime in.
