Default New Express Owner..

Just bought a used 2014 Express 3500 (6L).

Love it, but I have one thing that I'm not sure if its an issue or not. Still has warranty, so I can get it fixed.

The gas pedal seems to have a bit of travel before the van goes. Anyone else notice this on their vans? I am thinking the throttle cable is misadjusted or the TPS has a dead spot.

Also, currently looking for anyone who makes a one piece floor mat for the front of the van. If anyone had good luck with a specific vendor I would like to know.

Welcome to the site. I don't have the travel, so you might want to get it checked since its under warranty. As for the floor mat, I have not seen a one piece one, but you could try JC whitney.....

Like a delay in the throttle after you press it? I have this issue. Dealer said it was normal... but seems to me some have it worse than others. I found it very frustrating pulling out at busy intersections. So I got an aftermarket device that eliminates throttle delay and it solved the issue.

I have had that but everyone told me it was normal... Anyway, welcome and congrats on the purchase.

Really it seems more like a dead spot than a delay.

I will try holding it in the dead spot and see if it ever accelerates. It seems like the first inch or so of travel does nothing. After driving my van I get in my wifes mini van and smoke the tires everywhere I go.

Don't forget its an entirely electric throttle. No throttle cable.

Yes, no throttle cable as it's entirely electronic. I have the same van, same year. I am tired today, but I will pay attention to this for the next little bit to see if there's anything similar with mine. I do know if it you try to drive right after turning the key there's no power, which is a good thing. I always try to let it run a bit first, but I've made the mistake before.

I have no problems with my 2014.

I was looking up something else and I found something for you. If you download this PDF file, refer to page 77, and you'll see an Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor, in the center right of the schematic. Bear in mind I believe this is all 0-5 volts. Perhaps it's something do with that, or a connected component. Even a loose connection?
