Default Plastic piece above taillights and installation?

Hi. Yesterday as I was driving down the highway I noticed this piece flew off on my driver side. I would like to replace it. Can someone tell me the part number or what this piece is called? It is the piece that is above the tail light on my driver side I will post a picture.

Thank you. What ‘‘tis this missing piece?

APPLIQUE. REAR BODY PANEL MOLDING, Part Number: 15215525, number 14 LH in drawing, should fit all years of that body style, but confirm with GM Dealer.

A part like that must cost big $$$ at the dealer. Try used at an auto wrecker first.. I think one of the bolts that holds it on is behind the tail light. Dont force it...lol

Yeah, you could try an Auto Wrecker, or Pick A Part, but it's not too bad new, at an online dealer.

Very surprised this piece fell off. When a taillamp bulb goes out this piece has to come off to get the lamp housing off and has always been hard to get the birds beak clips to disengage. When its cold out I have to use a heat gun and try not to melt the parts. Installing is a breeze.

I removed my pieces when I tinted my tail lights.. and I just blamed it on its age as to why
my plastic clips broke... I ordered mine at my local dealer.. they cost me
3.64 ea I think it was.. I did how ever ask him what the cost of that said
plastic piece ... he said my cost was like 64.oo
so its expensive at the dealer but
the junk yard only wanted 20.00
