Default pros and cons on my chevy van- and what i will buy different next time

2017 chevy with the big v-8 motor
1 ton cargo van

pros
-gas mileage has consistently been 17-18 empty---but van is loaded lightly and a lot of highway driving
-tows my 7000 lb travel trailer very well
-turning radius is excellent, can park it like a car
-maintenance costs on this van are low, much lower than the transit gas vans
-wifi in the van is probably one of its best features

cons
-side barn doors are completely ridiculous and no holders made that open them wide and keep them open- an unreal screw up on GMs part for a van with the same bodystyle for years, if you are buying gm get the sliding side door
-seats are lousy and no upgrade options from gm/this is not just a gm problem, you should be able to order a similar seat to the trucks for the van
-will definitely buy a taller van when this one is traded, the low roof is not worth the trade off to me
-gas mileage really bad towing, like 8-9mpg- not a huge deal but worth mentioning
-do not like the backup camera in the rear view mirror, way too small
- side mirrors are ridiculous for towing and need a tow option like the trucks
- was very surprised at how few upgrade/modification options there are for a van style that has been out for years

things i will do different on the next van

tall roof
better side doors or sliding door- possibly doors on both sides
hopefully better seats
will have side and rear windows for visibility
will go with a bigger van, the extended
back up camera large screen in the dash
backup sensors
better side mirrors or the ability to upgrade

hope these thoughts help someone else
